From Visalia take Route 198 east to Three Rivers.

When you get to Three Rivers, 4.7 miles past the main part of town (Pizza Parlor on left, Century 21 Realty on right....set odometer here), on the right side of the road, you will see Mineral King Road. There is a large State Highway sign just before the turnoff that says Mineral King 26 miles to right). Turn off to the right past the fire station.

Drive up this narrow road 5.8 miles (set odometer). This is a narrow windy paved road; it's beautiful, but drive slowly and carefully. In the winter, try and arrive before darkness for your driving safety. It is a two way road and you have to expect cars coming from the opposite direction.  Stay on the main road the whole way. You might think you are lost, but you are fine. About half a mile past Sky Hook Ranch (Large metal letters above gate) on your left is Paradise Canyon. It has a large green 6 foot fence with a doorway to the left.  If you come to the 1923 Kaweah Bridge you went too far. To the left of the door about eye level is a lockbox. You will need a flashlight at night to see the buttons on the box

You will be given a numeric code by e-mail or telephone. This code will  open the lockbox for the appropriate cabin.  There are three keys, one for the front door to the property, one to the room, and one to the bathroom.  There is a towel rack labeled for each cabin to hang your towels in the bathroom also.  Use the same code to close the box after you take the keys out.

If you forget the code, call (310)822-9307. There is an emergency phone on the property, 559 561-4516. There is a manager who lives down the hill in town and is usually available. He can be reached at (310)822-9307 or (559)561-4602.  He will most likely not be up at Paradise Canyon when you arrive.  There is no need to check in with him. Check in is 2PM, check out 11AM so we can clean property and recharge the batteries with a generator if needed.

Cellular phone access ends when you turn of Highway 198 in Three Rivers onto Mineral King Road. The only cell service that you can get in Three Rivers itself is with AT&T.

Coffee provided; there is a refrigerator (no ice).  This is like a luxurious camping experience, remember there is  no TV or phone.....  There are large new BBQ's at each cabin; bring briquettes and starter.

Please don't bring a TV or DVD player, the solar system cant handle it :-).  If you bring a laptop, try to just use it during the daylight hours so the sun can keep the power up.

Each cabin has a manual in it that you should read upon arrival that explains how things work.
