From Visalia take Route 198 east to Three Rivers.
When you get to Three Rivers, 4.7 miles past the main part of town (Pizza Parlor on left, Century 21 Realty on right....set odometer here), on the right side of the road, you will see Mineral King Road. There is a large State Highway sign just before the turnoff that says Mineral King 23 miles to right). Turn off to the right past the fire station.
Drive up this narrow road 5.8 miles (set odometer). This is a narrow windy paved road; it's beautiful, but drive slowly. Stay on the main road the whole way. You might think you are lost, but you are fine. Just past Sky Hook Ranch on your left is Paradise Canyon (Cabins 1,2, and 3). It has a large green 6 foot fence with a doorway to the left. If you come to the 1923 Kaweah Bridge you went too far. To drive to The Lodge, continue past the Kaweah Bridge about 3 curves. Just after you pass the mile marker 7.0, the driveway is on the right with a green metal fence. Lockboxes are next to the front doors and contain the keys.
You will be given a numeric code
by e-mail or telephone. This code will open the lockbox for the
appropriate cabin. There are three keys, one for the front door to
property, one to room, and one to the bathroom. Use the same code to
close the box after you take the keys out. Enter the code for the box for
the cabin you will be staying in. Inside, is a set of keys for the
front gate, the cabin, and the bathroom.
If you forget the code, call (650)260-3737. There is an emergency phone on the property to call out only. There is a caretaker down in town most of the time...his name is Bill. He will most likely not be there when you arrive. There is no need to check in with him first. Check in is 2PM, check out 11AM so we can clean property and recharge the batteries with a generator if needed.
